Like with anything else, don’t overthink email marketing.
Nothing is ever perfect in the beginning, or ever, so you might as well just start!

brevo email marketing tool

Brevo is Our #1 Favorite!

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is the absolute favorite Email Marketing Software that we have come across. It’s a really user friendly email marketing platform and has the most generous FREE plan available.

It’s just awesome.

Once your business grows beyond the free plan the paid plans are very reasonably priced.

It’ also a great option for us WordPress users because of its Brevo plugin. We are also not hating the analytics that are better than many of the other free email marketing services.

Sender is the small email marketing tool that will pleasantly surprise you.

Sender offers a free plan that includes the ability to send up to 15,000 emails per month to a max of 2500 contacts and access to plenty of features to get you started as you grow your business.

It also includes features that most Email Marketing Softwares only include in the paid versions such as A/B Testing and Pop-ups.

Overall, we liked Sender for Email Marketing because the free plan offers large amount of emails and contacts before you need to start paying and the automation for Email Sequences is really good.

The biggest downside we found was the lack of Integrations, so just make sure you can work with the ones available.

Why we thought about not including Hubspot in the mix, is the monthly email sending limit and the steep pricing once your business grows and you want advanced features including A/B Testing.

Why we did include it however is because of what the entire Free Hubspot Experience offers. That includes Free Marketing tools, Free Sales tools, Free Service tools, Free CMS tools and Free Operations tools. We’d say that also explains the pricing since you are paying for so much more than just Email Marketing.

Plus, it’s all powered by a single CRM database, so everyone in your organization — Marketing, Sales, Service, and Operations — is working off the same system of record. Now, if you are a single person operation that just makes it easier for you to manage everything from one place.

The Free Plan by Mailchimp is a great option for small businesses and individuals who want to start creating and sending email campaigns.

With the free plan, you can send up to 2500 emails per month to a maximum of 500 subscribers. The Free plan includes tons of basic features such as customizable templates, a drag-and-drop email builder, and basic reporting and analytics. You can also segment your audience and personalize your emails for different groups of subscribers. Mailchimp is also very helpful as the free plan includes signup forms and landing pages to help you grow your email list.

Overall, the Mailchimp Free Plan is a great way to get started with email marketing if you are okay with the 500 contact limit.

Mailjet is another great email marketing platform that offers a free plan for small business and individuals to get started with email campaigns.

The free plan includes the ability to send up to 6,000 emails per month and access to the drag&drop email builder.

It also includes basic analytics such as open, click-through, and non-delivery reports. However, the free plan does not include access to advanced features such as A/B testing, automation, and SMS marketing.

Overall, we really loved Mailjet for Email Marketing because the free plan offers Unlimited Contacts making it such a good option for small businesses or individuals who are just starting to use email marketing. Mailjet also has the convenience of a WordPress Plugin.

Mailerlite email marketing platform screenshot

Mailerlite offers a free plan for small business and individuals to get started with email campaigns.

The free plan includes the ability to send up to 12,000 emails per month and access to plenty of features to get you started as you grow your business.

It also includes features that most Email Marketing Softwares only include in the paid versions such as A/B split testing and Pop-ups.

Overall, we liked Mailerlite for Email Marketing because the free plan offers extensive options and automation for Email Sequences and we did like the E-comm sales tracking in the free plan.

The biggest downside we found was the 1000 contacts limit, and the lack of Personalization and Email Templates.

Although there are plenty of Email Marketing tools out there like ConvertKit, GetResponse, AWeber, Benchmark, Omnisend and SendPulse we felt they did not align with our objectives for this particular article.

We wanted to bring you affordable option that are good to start and grow your company with. That’s why we selected Brevo, Sender, Mailchimp, Mailerlite and Mailjet.

In the end we did include Hubspot due to the convenience of having all the tools in one platform but we recommend that for faster growing companies.

Now we want to hear from you.
